So I've been back in Steubenville for a few weeks. So I figured I'd update on what I've been doing.
Summer class: I've been taking a summer class. I'm taking Sacraments. It's an interesting class. We're learning all about the sacraments. It meets five days a week. Since the class gets out after mass starts at Christ the King Chapel, I've been going to mass at Holy Family Church. They have an 8am mass. I sometimes see people from Franciscan at mass there. But anyway, we're more than halfway through the class. There's about eight people in the class, which I suppose is a good number for a summer class. We had the midterm last week, and the final is in less than two weeks. Plus we have to do a paper, which is due by the last day of class. So hopefully I won't do too badly in the class. A bunch of people in the class have been getting together to prepare for the final, so maybe that will help.
Work: While I've been taking my summer class, I've also been working in the dorms. I've been working primarily in Tommy, although we've been working in Marian the last few days. During the year, I didn't mind working in Tommy. But it's so different during the summer. During the week, the building is empty. So I end up spending the entire time working without seeing anyone. It can be lonely when you don't see any of your friends while you're working. Plus it gets really crazy when it's a conference day. On those days, you have to stay busy. I think perhaps if I stay in Steubenville for the summer for summer classes, I'm not going to work. If I do work, I would work for the summer conferences. But I'm not going to work in the dorms during the summer again. It's just not the same as during the year. If I don't take summer classes next year, then I will just spend the summer in NJ. I think it's just better for me. That way I can spend my summer with my family.
Believe it or not, the fall semester starts in about a month. Hard to believe that the summer is almost over.
Farewell!

I know the feeling! Crazy summer classes, campus feeling empty (even though you appreciate the summer people), work keeping you busy, fall semester coming so quickly... That about describes my life these days, too!
